Healing self-harming tendency with completion

I am writing this article with a heavy heart because I am seeing an increase in self-harming tendency or pattern among teenagers and young adults.

This pattern of self-harming has its root in the childhood when certain wrong cognitions started to form during the tender age due to certain incidents which affected their life. Many times I’ve seen it was due to parents’ incompletions which triggered the wrong cognitions in these children. They form the wrong cognitions such as “I shouldn’t be born”, “I am not loved”, “I am not worthy”, “I am the problem”.

The first case I worked with was a lady with a very traumatic childhood experience infused with self-doubt, fear, verbal abuse and hatred. That was the way the child formed the cognitions about herself. For a long time, she suffered with this self-doubt, self-hatred and self-denial pattern and she had gone to see psychologist and psychiatrist, she was put on medication but she was not able to get out of it. It was only after several sessions of completion that she was able to shift the very cognitions.

According to Paramahamsa Nithyananda (fondly known as Swamiji) he said that “The biggest human suffering is self-doubt, self-denial, self-hatred (SDHD in short). If I have to organize it one by one, it is – self-doubt, self-hatred, self-denial. First it starts as self-doubt, follows as self-hatred, becomes fruit in self-denial. That is the way, step by step, it reaches.”

He went on to explain that only after this self-doubt comes, God becomes human. The moment self-doubt enters, God became man, macrocosm becomes microcosm, Paramatma (Cosmic Soul) becomes Jivatma (Individual soul). The first Maya (illusions and delusion), the origin of the Maya is self-doubt. The biggest liberation you will experience on planet Earth is being liberated from self-doubt, self-denial and self-hatred. Completion with self-doubt, self-denial and self-hatred will be the biggest, most powerful liberation you will experience.

Swamiji also instructed his disciples that every child should be taught to complete with all these three patterns, because these three patterns do not start in this birth, they are inherited from the past birth! Every child should be taught to complete with the self-doubt, self-hatred and self-denial. If you want to hate something, hate self-hatred. If you want to doubt something, doubt self-doubt. If you want to deny something in your life, deny self-denial.

All hatred you have with others is hatred which is there in you about you. All doubt you have about others is nothing but the doubt you have in you. All the denial you have about others is nothing but the denial you have about you inside. Self-hatred naturally creates hatred about you everywhere. Self-doubt naturally creates doubt about others in you, and in others about you. Self-denial naturally makes you deny others, and others deny you. That is the source of all suffering, that is the source of all bad things. Self-Destruction is what is “giving up on yourself and giving up on others”. Whenever SDHD patterns come up, giving up on yourself is Self-Destruction.

The good news is SDHD can be completed. The science of Poornathva, science of Completion revived by Swamiji is the most sacred secret, the most powerful Raja Vidya (Royal Sacred Knowledge) and Royal Sacred Secret. The truth is life starts only when you are complete, when you are established in the space of completion. The moment you complete with these three inside you, suddenly you will see the world will be different for you! Every human-being should be taught the science of completing with their SDHD. When you start working on your self-doubt, self-hatred and self-denial, so much of Kundalini energy (inner potential energy) gets awakened, that energy automatically will create what you want, that energy will automatically liberate you, lead you to ultimate enlightenment.

In essence, complete with the 3 patterns of SDHD, you will have a great life in front of you. You will have a great possibility in front of you. All the great truths you will be able to grasp in your life and be able to live a life of Jeevan Mukti (liberation). Namaste 😀

Spiritual practice breaks your patterns

A few years ago, I used to have a pattern of being quick-tempered whenever I felt violated by people or situations. So much so that it was taking a toll on my relationship with my loved ones. It was only after I met Swamiji, a living enlightened master (also known as Paramahamsa Nithyananda) that I learned how I actually strengthened certain responses unconsciously and how to get out of the patterns.

According to neurophysiologists, deep-rooted mental patterns (also called samskara in Sanskrit) create mental grooves in our brain, just like rivulets in sand, which makes the water run in certain patterns. They say that each time we react in a certain way repeatedly, we strengthen the power of the pathway. Each time the water runs in the same pathway, the rivulet becomes deeper. Same way, each time we react in a certain way to a situation, we strengthen that pattern. For example, if you have a habit of flaring in anger every time you are stressed, you are encouraging and strengthening that engram of anger due to stress. This is a very important truth that everyone must catch because the worst suffering we have is not recognising our pattern is the source of our suffering.

Swamiji gave this understanding beautifully, he said “The river running in the same direction becomes stronger, deeper, and more permanent. Same way, in your brain you have so many rivers – Ganga, Kaveri, Yamuna, Saraswati, Godavari, Narmada, Sindhu! Some of the rivers in your brain are wild rivers like forest rivers. They have the power to suddenly flood and cause calamities in your life. So you need to make a dam to divert such rivers; to make them flow in a different direction. Making that dam and diverting the river to a different direction is what I call sadhana – spiritual practice.”

Neuroplastic science also says that your brain has the ability to create new grooves and pathways, and the existing ones will heal and disappear if it is left on their own. So whenever you are really feeling the stress, fear or anxiety, do something very active such as doing a cathartic meditation or intense weight-lifting to make the body active. You will create a new engram, a different flow of energy, a new groove in the brain simply by working on the body intensely.

Swamiji explained that the next time whenever fear or stress happens in you again, the whole thing will automatically get converted into useful energy instead. When awareness is added to your rajas (restless energy), it can just become part of your life and can be directly useful to you. If you are stressed, if you have anger or fear towards somebody, just take it out with awareness in the gym, yoga or do some intense cathartic processes. He had given several cathartic processes from different traditions: 1) Manipuraka shuddhi kriya or talking in tongues, 2) pranayamas like bhastrika, kapalabhati, 3) loud chanting of Upanishads or Vedic mantras. In the Christian tradition, talking in tongues is called Glasalolia. In the Hindu tradition, we call it Manipuraka shuddhi kriya.

If you learn how to release your stress and fear through catharsis, you will see that you will be creating new rivulets. You will stop strengthening the old patterns, the ugly mental set-up of suffering and torturing yourself, instead you will be able to divert your energy to something life-positive which strengthens your ability to handle yourself with greater confidence.

From my own experience, the way I got out of my anger pattern was through a regular sadhana of daily yoga practice which included silent sitting with myself to unclutch from the dust I collected unconsciously as well as creating a space to witness my thought currents. After the initiation into Nithyanandoham and Suddhadvaitam processes, my sadhana has evolved to daily manifestation of experiences, powers and revelations. Swamiji taught the world the powerful science of completion (poornatva) and through the power of will and declaration to drop and complete with the incompletions which created the thought patterns and emotional patterns. Recently he has given a more subtle technique called pure questioning, when perform with authenticity, can lead one back to the space of completion and inner peace.

In essence, the next time you become aware of certain blind spot or thought pattern which you are suffering, go for spiritual solutions or practices which can heal the cracks in your inner space as well as create new subtle brain grooves such that your transformation becomes permanent. Namaste 😀

Completion Brings Respect for Your Life

Do you know that all our so-called problems and sufferings in life happen because we have lost the respect for life?

This is the fundamental issue that humanity is facing now, we’ve lost the sensitivity for life due to a huge disconnect with life itself. When I looked back to the days before my spiritual awakening and the issues my clients and students are facing, everything boils down to this one blind spot – respect for your life.

What are the symptoms that show a loss of respect for life?

If you are spending your time in worrying, you don’t have respect for life! When you try to fill your emptiness and restlessness within with material enjoyments like car, house, accumulating bank balance, food indulgence and even in relationships, thinking they will fill the incompletion you are carrying about life. Any addiction you have, whether it is alcohol, smoking, sex, drugs or pornography clearly shows you don’t have respect for your own life! Falling into low mood, depression or any psychological disorder is an indication of your lack of respect for life. Any self-harming or suicidal attempt is a clear sign of abuse of the precious life that you are given!
