Healing the confusion in gender identity

Last week I conducted a two-day workshop in Taiwan called ‘Experience Your Divinity’, to a group of participants focusing on awakening the divine feminine consciousness of individuals. Before you can experience the divinity within, you have to heal all the wrong ideas you carry about your gender and the patterns related to this wrong cognition.

So, in the first the self-inquiry activity, the participants were requested to look in and see how they had started identifying themselves by the wrong ideas inserted by others, then they drew a picture to encapsulate the essence of their experience and shared with the group. One common thread amongst the participants was the gender confusion they went through in their lives inserted by parents and society which started a life of suffering and confused identity. It is like a legacy that has been passed down from generation after generation. When we don’t understand the truth of our gender identity, we create many patterns unconsciously. Here is the truth given by a living incarnation, Bhagawan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam (fondly known as Swamiji), he revealed that the gender identity is the string of your patterns, if you cut that, all patterns will be destroyed. You will be free from all the patterns.

Get out of Apasmara – Forgetfulness

If you were to distil all the suffering of humanity to one key reason, do you know what would it be?

I’ve discovered that it is the problem of forgetfulness (Apasmara in Sanskrit). When I first heard this word in 2012 from my Guru who is a living Avatar, his name is called Paramahamsa Nithyananda (fondly known as Swamiji), I didn’t quite grasp its meaning fully. It was only when I started to cognize it myself in my life and recently after having worked with many seekers that I began to understand the illusion (Maya) of forgetfulness. Be it sickness to health, depression to enlightenment, poverty to wealth, business failures to success, leaving spiritual seeking or going through the ups and downs of life, the root cause of these struggles in us is forgetfulness of our original state, space and powers as the Super consciousness, Paramashiva.

In Vedic tradition, Smaranath means liberation. Right remembrance liberates, Smaranath Mukthi. The remembrance of the right powerful cognitions is all that we need to bring liberation. One such powerful cognition that I learned from Swamiji is life is a continuous rhythm.

Here’s a small story!

The lesson when life takes something away from you

The last 7 months had been a period of great changes in my life. This morning when I was in the meditative state in Shaktipata (feeling connection) with Swamiji, my Guru, His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, I felt the anger within me the way my life had taken a complete turn and certain things were taken away from me. I noticed this same anger with the Guru came from my past karma, not this birth. When I was able to witness the incompletion with life and the kind of psychodrama I created unconsciously for many janmas (births), I decided to drop this pattern of anger and hurt at the feet of the Guru. Finally, I felt a powerful completion within me, with Guru and life.
