Living with Integrity: A Deeper Understanding

For the last 4 months, I have been soaking in the more subtle dimensions of the first Cosmic Principle – Integrity as a teacher for the children in Nithyananda Bala Vidyalaya ( a weekend programme for children) as well as for the adults in my current yoga classes. My master, Paramahamsa Nithyananda once said that you can learn 75% of a great truth from reading scriptures, learning from master and doing practice, but the remaining 25% will be complete unless we start teaching the truth to others. This is absolutely true!

Integrity is a spiritual value which is beyond morality and ethics. Morality and ethics can vary from era, country, society but integrity is absolute which remains unchanged forever. Integrity is the very foundation on which our lives are built. The structure of our lives is nothing but the words we give to ourselves and to others. Do you know that our words create our destiny? They are the life force that fuels us. Integrity forms part of our very life energy, the very air we breathe.

How I keep my child in the space of possibilities?

Do you know that children are already born complete, total with pure innocence and intelligence?

Before the age of 7 y.o., children live in a pure space called “Space of a Child”. This is the original state of pure awareness, a space of solutions where there is no mental processing like planning, judging or thinking. They just download like an internet connection whenever they need the information. This is such a beautiful space to be in as it is a space of huge possibilities. All they need from parents is the right environment and guidance from a higher energy to start expressing their extraordinary dimensions that the society holds them back from.

As a mother, I am very conscious that I want to keep my son, Kai in his pure inner space of joy, innocence, creativity and great possibility. However, I am equally aware of the negative forces in the outer world which could unbalance him and take him away from this space.

Owning your body is integrity

Do you know that whenever a disease happens, it means you have given up on your body?

If you look in, you will be able to see clearly that a disease develops because you have not taken ownership of your body. This means that you lack integrity with your body and have not taken responsibility to maintain it.

Integrity is the first Cosmic principle which I learned from my Guru, Paramahamsa Nithyananda. He said that every human being must understand and live life with integrity because it is only with integrity that life happens. Your life starts happening only when you start owning your body with integrity. Without integrity, the body may be there, you may be there but there is no relationship. You experience yourself as a fragmented person and naturally you start inviting diseases and disorders to your body-mind.
