Re-program Your Muscle Memory Through Yoga

Are you aware there is such a thing called muscle memory?

The truth is our body stores memories in different parts of the organs and muscles. Muscle memory is responsible for the spontaneous way in which we react to every situation before even we are actually aware of it. They come from the past memories of this body, meaning the memories of this birth. After many unconscious repeated actions, it is stored in our muscles and we respond to life out of these unconscious past memories. By and by, these incompletions become patterns in us over time and they start creating more and more trouble and suffering in our life.

I’ve started a new yoga Module called ‘Yoga for Women’ last week and one of the things that we are exploring is the re-programming of engraved memories of a female physiology. The common engraved memories that all human beings tend to suffer is that of laziness pattern. Breaking the muscle memory of laziness is the first step in spiritual awakening. If laziness pattern gets settled into the body’s muscle memory, for a female, it will lead to indulgence in past suffering and engrams. However, for a male body, it leads to indulgence of sense pleasures and new engrams.

Yoga is about Adding Life to Your Movements

If you were to ask someone – what is Yoga?

Immediately, the typical answer would be ‘Yoga is a physical form of exercise called asanas (postures) used to promote strength, flexibility and balance in the body’. In the modern society especially in the West, yoga has been reduced to just a physical exercise with some breathing techniques, some chanting and some meditation thrown in to create an exotic appeal.  Some of the latest fads include an obsession with precision of different complex postures and a belief in the illusion that excessive loss of water in hot yoga is equivalent to a good workout. The Western society largely sees yoga as another form of stress-buster or stretching aerobic exercise. But what they are seeing are merely the side benefits of yoga. It is almost like going to a restaurant and reading the menu without tasting the food!  This is so different from what Patanjali, the father of Yoga is advocating in the Yoga Sutras! The mainstream society is only able to catch the physical dimension of yoga but not the authentic body language of yoga.

Get Ready for 2012 Conscious Explosion

In another 25 days from now, on 12 Dec 2012, it marks the opening of a shift of consciousness where the entire planet earth is going to experience a significant shift of energy. There is going to be violation of the law of physics because the center of the planet earth is losing its gravitational pull over human beings. As a result, the strength of gravity is reducing on all of us. When this happens, we have lesser thoughts and our body can act with less thinking. This will have a huge effect on human beings.

The psychological shift of less thoughts means we are losing engrams (thought-patterns we carry), this will have a direct benefit to our consciousness. When a huge pattern of thoughts is removed from us, it means that almost many janmas (life cycles) of past karmas are taken away from our system. Our nervous system will have a lighter load, a new wave of peacefulness, bliss and explosion of consciousness can be experienced and some could even levitate!
