Transcend the Patterns of Possessiveness & Jealousy

Recently I’ve been working with a female client on her possessiveness and jealousy patterns for 2 months. She is a very attractive, bubbly young lady with a beautiful heart. She came to me after attending one Friday yoga class with me and asked if I could help her on some of her issues. She shared that she had been experiencing a lot of frustration, constant tiredness, at times desperation from a shrinking feeling with her life, literally so much of her energy was being sapped away by these two patterns!

Firstly, we started to dig into her past incidents which contributed to the development of incompletions with relationships and a constant need for attention and approval of others inside her. She was able to identify a list of incidents from her past clearly and started to complete with them.

Guru – The One Who Made Me Decide

Tomorrow is the Guru Poornima, the auspicious day which is celebrated by those who worship the Divine in the form of a Guru. This is the day when the Guru receives us into His compassion and wipes out even the most terrible karmas of life-times with His unconditional Grace. Many people cannot understand why this worship of another human form?!

You see, in the Vedic tradition, we believe that the Divine assumes the human form again and again as Guru to remind us to search for the Ultimate truth. As expressed by Lord Krishna, an incarnation in Bhagavad Gita JnanaKarmaSanyasa Yoga Chapter 4 verses 4.7-4.8, “When positive consciousness declines, when collective negativity rises, again and again, at these times, I am reborn. To nurture the pious and to annihilate the wicked, to re-establish righteousness, I am reborn, age after age.”

Be the Ultimate Gambler in Life

I was reminded of a discourse given by my master, Paramahamsa Nithyananda, he once said that: “An ordinary gambler requires 3 qualities – courage to start, the power to proceed or execute and the energy to let go.”

We all know that courage is necessary to understand the laws of gambling since it involves probable loss of huge sums of money, possessions and name and fame. The attitude of a gambler should be: If it goes it goes, if it comes it comes. There is no sure-win in gambling, in fact, the chance of losing your stake is higher than winning.

Once you have the courage to overcome this fear of loss, you need the power to execute with the play and stake what is necessary. The outcome being uncertain, you need the energy to let go and accept regardless of the positive or negative outcome. You understand clearly that it requires energy to let go both the extremes of the possible outcome.
