Important clicks I cognized about death in 2020

 

This year we witnessed a massive clean-up of the world population with more than 1.54 million deaths were recorded due to the corona virus pandemic as of 5th December 2020. The top three countries like United States, India and Brazil were the worst hit, accounting for almost 40% of the global death tolls. Corona virus had fundamentally changed the way human beings live and their priorities in life!   

In May this year, I started conducting weekly online session based on Living Enlightenment book authored by my Guru, HDH Bhagawan Nithyananda Paramashivam. (fondly known as Swamiji) In the last 4 weeks, I was expounding on the chapter about ‘Death is a celebration”.

Sankhya is Reality: The Knowledge of Completion

This whole week I was reading the chapter on Sankhya Yoga in Bhagavad Gita. Interestingly, I discovered so many clicks from Lord Krishna, the Purnavatar (complete incarnation) when he started to address Arjuna’s fear in waging a war and the patterns he was stuck in.

Sankhya Yoga is the philosophy of reality – the ultimate existential reality from Vedic tradition which gives us the right cognitions about who we are and an understanding that there is no death in reality! What exists as reality is perceived by you without the interference, perversions created by your powerless patterns. I feel this true knowledge should be given as the powerful cognitions about self in all schools as it will fundamentally change the way the next generation make important decisions in their lives, the way it had shifted my entire understanding and my life!

Death is a passage

Monday early morning, Singapore just lost her founding Father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew who passed on at the age of 91 years old. Mr Lee Kuan Yew was revered by many in the world as one of the most visionary leaders of our time. Not only did he fight for self-Government from the British colonial masters, he also later led Singapore into merger with Malaysia believing that this was the best option for Singapore’s future. When the merger fell apart, he took Singapore out of Malaysia and built a nation from nothing during the most difficult years.

He built up a strong defence capability to protect Singapore’s sovereignty, a vibrant economy which created many jobs, a sound education system and world-class infrastructure, housing and environment. Literally he transformed Singapore from a Third World to a First World country. He was known for his working style – meticulous, persistent, with tremendous drive and spirit, never quitting. He also ensured a successful transitioning of Singapore beyond him through leadership succession.
